Community Health Care

The population structure will change in a variety of ways in coming years, and with it also the needs with regard to health care. Increasingly, it will be the wish of people affected by age, illness or impairment, and who require assistance, to be able to remain in their familiar home environment for as long as possible. Health care is demonstrating a trend toward new requirements for the design of quarters and domestic environments (communities). In the process, this field of work is increasing in importance and requires personnel that are appropriately trained for the requirements.

The Hochschule für Gesundheit (hsg) offers you a theory-based and at the same time practically oriented course of study leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree. The 'Community Health Care' degree programme is extra-occupational and encompasses a total of eight semesters including the Bachelor thesis. No student fees are paid. The degree programme is exclusively oriented toward graduates of health care professions. Studies always commence with the winter semester. The curriculum creates a link to already existing knowledge and competencies from the basic area of illness and health in terms of content and supplements your profile with health science, spatial planning, medical technology and health economy competencies.
