Health and Diversity Studies
Due to social inequality and discrimination, it often happens that certain persons or groups of per-sons with diversity characteristics related to a particular disability or a migration background have a restricted access to available healthcare services. There is a worldwide relationship between poverty and health. Students of the Bachelor program "Health and Diversity Studies" learn to establish theoretical and practical structures that promote the participation of persons and population groups discriminated by the healthcare and social system and to lend specific support to those with diversity characteristics by providing healthcare information and consultation services.
"Health and Diversity Studies" is a full-time course and comprises a total of 6 semesters including the Bachelor thesis. The course of study involves the acquisition of competences in healthcare management, social science and didactics.
