Objectives of the International Office
Professional and scientific exchange across national borders are of vital importance for the relatively young health sciences in Germany. Traditionally being part of the professional dual education system and combining theory and practise, health professions are in their process of academisation and aim at a further development also in research. International networking and exchange also benefit disciplines of community health.
In its endeavours toward internationalisation, the Hochschule für Gesundheit (hsg) therefore pursues three central objectives:
- Promotion of the mobility of students, lecturers and other staff in order to expand and deepen their technical, linguistic and intercultural competences
- Promotion of scientific exchange in the areas of study & teaching, practice and research, with the goal of promoting the academic development of specialist cultures
- Exchange of experiences and networking with European and non-European universities and practical institutions in order to support the development process of the Hochschule für Gesundheit (hsg) (University of Applied Sciences)
The International Office of the hsg supports the international exchange of students, lecturers, researchers and administrative staff, international projects and cooperations. It is responsible for both for the operative tasks as well as for the strategic planning tasks in the context of the internationalisation of the university.
