ERASMUS+
ERASMUS, the EU programme for the European higher education area, has been promoting the international mobility of students, university lecturers and university staff since 1987.On 1st January 2014, the new EU programme for education, youth and sport, ERASMUS+, replaced the previous EU education programme Lifelong Learning (LLP, 2007-2013). ERASMUS+ encompasses a programme duration of seven years (2014-2020). The anticipated funding until the end of the programme duration amounts to 14.8 billion Euro. ERASMUS+ should improve competences and employment eligibility and promote the modernisation of the systems of general and vocational education, as well as child and youth services. ERASMUS+ consists of three key actio
- Key action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals
- Key action 2: Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices
- Key action 3: Support for polity reforms
The following European countries currently participate in ERASMUS+: The 28 EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, FYR Macedonia, Norway and Turkey.

The ERASMUS Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) is awarded by the EU Commission. It demonstrates that a university satisfies all prerequisites for successful participation in the ERASMUS+ programme. The Hochschule für Gesundheit (hsg) has received the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for 2014-2020 from the European Commission.
