Gender Equality Representative
In 2016, the hsg Presidency appointed Prof. Dr. Nina Gawehn as Representative for Gender Equality and Annette Pietsch as her deputy. The Gender Equality Representatives act in the interests of the female members of the university; in particular, they strive to implement gender-relevant aspects in all tasks to be accomplished by the university.
At the beginning of the term of office of the Gender Equality Representative, the focus was on developing and implementing a concept for gender equality for the hsg. The basic idea was to view gender equality not as a detached task but as something to be implemented across the board in all decision-making structures and processes of the hsg.
The programme of counselling services offered by the Gender Equality Representative is being systematically set up. These services will focus on, for instance, studying and working with a child, career options as well as continuing education. At present Margret Muth-Köhne and Yvonne Anger are available – by appointment – to answer any questions you might have.
