Library and Specialist Information

The library of the Hochschule für Gesundheit (hsg) is currently being fundamentally re-established.

Collections and information material of the library are available to all members of the university. The library is not yet public due to the current situation. With the expansion of the Health Care Campus Bochum, the still very small library will move into a new building. A learning library will be established there that offers a great deal of space to study working with media, to communicate or to organise smaller events.

Depending upon the special wishes and their basic conditions, the library will also be open to government agencies and research institutions of the campus, and also serve other interested parties seeking information. On the whole, it will thus follow the concept of a library for teaching and study, and act as a special and research library for the health sciences.

The objective of the offering is to provide students and instructors with the resources and sources of information they will require at various stages of their programme of study. In addition to this, the goal is to inspire graduates to continue to use specialist sources for their professional and scientific practice. This has the prerequisite of knowledge of such sources. Graduates can then arrange to acquire such sources in the hospitals or in their practices, etc., or will know which libraries they can use to have such sources available to them.

Offerings and service have been set up in recent months. We currently offer our electronic access within the e-learning system Moodle and a stock of printed media in our facilities on location. You can find information about this here.
