The University Presidency

A four-member presidium heads the Hochschule für Gesundheit (hsg).

 

Prof. Dr. jur. Anne Friedrichs (President)

As President, Prof. Dr. Anne Friedrichs heads the Hochschule für Gesundheit. Before she decided to take up her office in the Ruhr region, she was professor for social, social administration and European law at the University of Applied Sciences Oldenburg/ Eastern Friesland/ Wilhelmshaven. Prof. Anne Friedrichs was also president of the university from 2002 to 2006. From 2009 to 2015 she was a member of the science council and is still active there in an advisory role.

 

Werner Brüning (Vice-President for economy and personnel administration)

Vice-President Werner Brüning is responsible for the areas of economy and personnel administration. In 1991 he joined the university administration of Münster, first in the personnel department, then as department head in the department for construction and properties, and from 2002 to 2009 as chief administrative director and department head for personnel and organisational matters, central services and data processing.

 

Prof. Dr. phil. Kerstin Bilda (Vice-President for research)

Kerstin Bilda has been at the university since 2009 and was part of the founding team. She has been vice-president for the research area since 1st March 2015. She headed the study area of speech and language therapy from the start. Prior to this she was a professor for applied speech and communication sciences, as well as degree programmes head for speech and language therapy and vice dean of the department of Social Work and Health at the University of Applied Sciences of Oldenburg/Eastern Friesland/Wilhelmshaven. Her focus of work and research is on neuro-rehabilitation with a focus on technology-supported language and speech therapy, as well as on out-patient care for stroke victims.
